These rules exist to protect realistic, immersive and respectful roleplay across Code 44. By joining the server, you agree to follow them at all times.

All interactions should reflect realistic, in-character decision-making and consequences.

No Win Mentality
Focus on character development and storytelling, not “winning” situations.

Interaction & Scene Rules

Respect All Active Scenes
Do not interfere with or disrupt RP scenes you are not involved in.

No Cop Baiting
No Cop Baiting unless explicitly approved by staff.
02.03
No Rushing or Loitering
Do not rush or loiter around emergency services or their locations, including Police, Fire and BHS locations.
02.04
Emergency Scenes & Roadblocks
Emergency scenes and roadblocks must not be driven through or disturbed.

Initiation
Initiation must be clear, with a valid RP reason and time for compliance. A minimum of 10 seconds must be given.

No Quick-Draw or /me Weapon Pulls
You must voice your intentions before escalating.

Combat & Engagement Rules

RDM
Random Deathmatch is strictly prohibited.

VDM
Vehicle Deathmatch is never allowed.

Fear RP
You must value your life when threatened. Failing to do so will result in warnings or bans.

No GTA Driving
Drive realistically; respect vehicle limitations and crash consequences.

Metagaming & Powergaming

Metagaming
Using OOC knowledge IC is bannable.

Powergaming
Forcing actions without RP consent is not allowed.

Stream Sniping / Player IDs
No stream sniping or using player IDs for IC knowledge.

No OOC Arguing in Discord
Keep RP in-game.

Hostages
All hostages must be uninvolved civilians. You may not use friends or gang members.

Police Information
Police information must not be used if transferring from a police character to a civilian or gang character.

Third-Party Communication
05.01
No Third-Party Voice During RP
Players must not use Discord voice channels or any third-party voice communication while actively roleplaying in the city.

Use In-Game Communication
All interactions and communication must take place through in-game proximity voice, radio or phone to ensure fairness and maintain immersion.

Metagaming Enforcement
Using Discord voice to coordinate actions, gain an unfair advantage or bypass in-game communication is considered metagaming and may result in warnings, temporary bans or permanent bans depending on severity.

Character & Roleplay Guidelines

Develop Your Character
Know who they are, their goals, flaws and backstory.

Prohibited Character RP
No nude characters, Mental Health RP or Suicide RP.

Respect Character Boundaries
Your characters cannot interact or share resources.

New Life Rule
After respawn, forget the last 15 minutes of RP and do not return to the scene.

Community Standards

Bullying / Harassment / Discrimination
Bullying, harassment or discrimination will result in a permanent ban without appeal.

Slurs / Sexual Harassment / Vulgar RP
Racist or derogatory slurs, sexual harassment and vulgar RP are not tolerated.

Respect Streamers
Avoid actions that could get someone banned from their platform.

Threats
Any threats toward players or the community will result in an instant permanent ban.

Reporting & Staff
08.01
Use Tickets for Reports
Do not DM or tag staff. Use tickets for reports and /report for emergencies.

Evidence Required
All reports require evidence. Submit unedited 5-minute clips. Chunks or hearsay are not accepted.

Combat Logging
Combat logging, crashing to avoid RP or disconnecting to save items is punishable.

Exploiting & Cheating

No Exploiting
Do not exploit bugs or mechanics. Report bugs immediately.

No AFK Macro Farming
Macro farming while AFK is not allowed. Random staff checks will occur.

Ban Evasion
Ban evasion will result in permanent bans on all associated accounts.

Green Zones
10.01
Green Zone Locations
Police Stations, Fire Stations and Hospitals are Green Zones. No crime or large social gatherings are permitted.

Police Arrests Still Apply
Police can still make arrests in these restricted areas, as police would not wait for someone to step off specific land before taking lawful action.

Illegal Deals / Violence
Illegal deals and violence in Green Zones are forbidden.

Crime & Gang Rules

Heists / Robberies
Heist and robbery rules apply based on civilian and police counts.
11.02
Compliant Hostages
Do not kill hostages who comply.
11.03
Relocating Robbed Players
You may relocate robbed players, but they must be returned somewhere realistic.

BHS During Gang Threats
BHS must comply with gang threats during scenes or leave and call the police.

Kidnapping Police
Kidnapping police officers is only allowed if there are at least 5 additional police officers on duty to respond.

Prohibited Roleplay

Terror RP
Terror RP is disallowed unless admin-approved.
12.02
Suicide / Mental Health RP
Suicide RP and Mental Health RP are banned for community safety.

Trolling / Job Baiting
Trolling, baiting jobs or causing annoyance without RP is not tolerated.

Restarts & Timing
13.01
Restart Protection
No scenes or initiations are allowed 15 minutes before a server restart.

New Life Rule (NLR)
14.01
You Forget
You forget the last 15 minutes of RP after bleeding out, respawning or seeing the light.
14.02
You Do Not Forget
You do not forget if you were revived by BHS or if you did not fully die, such as being treated at the hospital.

While Incapacitated
No talking unless roleplayed as injured. No tactical callouts. Do not return to the scene.

Initiation Guidelines
15.01
Valid Initiation
You may initiate when someone is committing a crime, you need a hostage for a heist, someone is robbing or stealing from you, or your gang is initiating and 3 or more members are present.
15.02
Invalid Initiation
You may not initiate simply because you dislike someone or when there is no valid RP justification.

Vehicle & Chase RP

Sports / Supers Off-Road
Sports and super cars must not be driven off-road.

SUV Off-Road
SUVs have limited off-road access.
16.03
Unrealistic Driving
No hill climbing or unrealistic driving.

Ramps / Rat Runs
Ramps and rat runs are allowed when used realistically.

Super Cars
Super cars cannot use unrealistic ramps, rat runs or terrain.

Emergency Service Vehicles
Theft of Emergency Service vehicles is strictly prohibited.

Advertising

Other Servers / Services
Advertising other servers or services is not allowed.

Real-World Trading
Do not sell real-world items for in-game goods.

Player Conduct & Behaviour
18.01
Respect Staff Decisions
Arguing with staff in-game or in OOC about disciplinary actions is not allowed. Use the proper appeal process.

Discrimination & Hate Speech
Any form of racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia or hate speech will result in an immediate ban.

OOC Chat Abuse
Using OOC to insult, argue or disrupt RP is forbidden.

Discord Activity
Players involved in whitelisted roles, including BHS and Police, must be active in the server Discord and follow its rules.

Character Kill (CK) Protocol
19.01
Announce Your CK
If you are Character Killing your own character, you must clearly state this in /ooc chat, for example: “/ooc This is a CK – do not attempt to revive me.”

Avoid Revival Confusion
This helps avoid confusion and prevents BHS or other players from trying to revive or save your character.

Failure to Announce
Failing to announce a CK properly can result in roleplay disruption and potential staff intervention.

Microphone Requirement

Working Microphone Required
A working microphone (voicebox) is required at all times.
20.02
No Microphone
If you are found to be playing without one, you will face an immediate ban until resolved.

Lying to Staff

Honesty Required
Lying to any member of staff is strictly prohibited.

Enforcement
If you are caught being dishonest, you will face an immediate warning and/or ban depending on the severity.

Use common sense at all times.

Staff Discretion
Staff reserve the right to enforce rules beyond those listed if a player is found to be disruptive or malicious.
